Cathy Ferrier, Chief Executive
Cathy was appointed as Sentebale’s Chief Executive in March 2012. Before joining Sentebale, Cathy was Oxfam’s Fundraising Director, responsible for raising over £100m a year from individuals in the UK. She oversaw the implementation of a CRM system that improved marketing and communications to more than 800,000 supporters, and increased income for the leading international development charity during a difficult economic period.

Cathy spent more than 25 years in buying and marketing roles for leading retailers, including WHSmith, the Walt Disney Company and the Burton Group. Her commercial experience and understanding of international development will be a huge boost to Sentebale as it expands its work. Cathy has three grown-up daughters and lives in Oxford.
Tumisang Leduma, Country Director
Tumisang Leduma joined Sentebale as Country Director in April 2013.

Tumisang brings extensive experience to Sentebale having worked with GROW for ten years and as their Managing Director for the past seven. In this role he developed long-term partnerships with local and international organisations and government ministries to build and ensure the sustainability of GROW’s work in building capacities of communities to address better challenges brought about by poverty and HIV/AIDS. This included managing a multi-year, high-value HIV/AIDS rights based project benefitting women, vulnerable children and their families. Tumisang is a strong leader who believes in individuals taking ownership of their work and fully understanding their role within a team.

Tumisang has worked with the Ministry of Education and Training for three years; a great platform from which to continue building Sentebale’s own relationships with government and plans for expansion.

Tumisang is married and enjoys football, cycling and hiking.
